June – August
Support our clients from the social sector in solving their problems in a structured and sustainable way and contribute to making the world a better place. With us, students can contribute their time, motivation and expertise to society.
With us, you will gain intensive first experience in project management, dealing with customers, as well as with essential skills such as PowerPoint or presenting, and you will be responsible from the start of the project.
Many of our current and former members work for the largest business consultancies, banks, corporations or political institutions.
Kooperationen & Mentoring
180DC offers numerous external workshops with renowned cooperation partners. In addition, each team is assigned an experienced mentor from the consulting industry.
Important for us are a letter of motivation in which you answer one of our guiding questions as well as a curriculum vitae in tabular form without a picture. We do not require certificates of academic achievement. Upload the documents as .pdf files here.
The selection of applicants depends on their professional, but also social and personal suitability, as well as motivation for the work as a consultant at 180DC. Various aspects that are important to us are evaluated on the basis of the written application. Afterwards, suitable candidates are invited to a personal interview.
In the personal interview, our main goal is to get to know potential consultants better and to get a picture of you. You can also expect some brainteasers, logic exercises and a case study. Don’t panic, we are only interested in seeing how you approach problems. There is no perfect solution per se. Of course, a good preparation is still worthwhile.
No, unfortunately not. We want to give all applicants the same chance. The application phase is always at the beginning of the summer and winter semester, so you can simply apply for the next one. You can find current information either here on the website or on our social media channels Instagram and LinkedIn.
Absolutely! Our consultants come from a wide variety of disciplines – and that’s a good thing! What unites us is the urge to make a difference, and in doing so we learn from each other in the teams and at internal workshops. Interdisciplinarity and diversity are very important to us, because this is what leads to creative solutions and the best project results!
You can’t give a general answer to this question, because our projects go through different phases, which can take up different amounts of time. You work on a project for one semester. However, we expect our consultants to devote approximately 10 hours per week to the project, as this is necessary for successful project completion. Of course, exam periods are taken into account so that you can fully concentrate on your studies.
After the project is before the project. We always have changing, new and follow-up projects, so you have the opportunity to master various challenges and also get to know new customers, partner companies and mentors. Of course, there is also the possibility to develop your leadership skills, e.g. as a team leader, or to become part of the board and actively shape the initiative.
That depends entirely on the project and the team composition. Our consultants accompany from strategy to implementation. We have already had projects in which teams have prepared a business plan for submission to investors, worked out a marketing strategy for the new core product, or assisted in the successful establishment of the Internet portal. The preferences and skills of the consultants are of course taken into account when assigning them to the teams. You have the opportunity to invest your time in a specific project of your choice for an entire semester. You can find out more about our previous project formats here.
